Can you get High on Cbd Oil?

CBD Oil HighWhile the interest in CBD is growing, we have seen that more and more people have questions about the nature of CBD oil and whether it could make you get high. The short answer is no, it can not. However, this answer is not enough for many who wish to use CBD as part of their health care program, so we have written a practical statement. CBD is a cannabinoid found in both hemp and cannabis, but it is absolutely not psychoactive. This means that it is impossible to get high on CBD oil. It has more an calming relaxing effect.

In fact, both plants contain many cannabinoids that are not psychoactive. CBD differs from THC and counteracts the psychoactive effect of THC when consumed together.

So CBD can not make high, but THC already. For this reason, CBD oil is made from hemp and not from cannabis. Hemp, although related to cannabis, is not the same. It has been bred selectively as an agricultural crop to contain only tiny amounts of THC and is legal in the EU & the USA. As a result, CBD oils contain only traces of THC, usually less than 0.9 % – a completely harmless level.

CBD is a medicine not a drug

CBD has been found to have all the possible effects, including that it can combat anxiety, inflammation, psychosis, nausea, and a whole host of other problems. While initial research is promising, much more research needs to be done to conclusively determine whether this is due to CBD alone. Therefore, CBD is often used as an adjuvant because it is not a drug.

CBD & THCCannabinoid researcher Dr. Ethan Russo also has a definition: “It used to be widely spread in the cannabis terraces of Afghanistan and Morocco, but has largely disappeared from cannabis for recreational purposes. It is also found in fiber hemp, but generally in a low concentration.

CBD has gained increasing attention through its various medicinal properties, including analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects without intoxication or sedation. It also reduces the side effects of the THC when administered together, especially anxiety and fast heart rate. Together, the two components can act synergistically in many applications”

Mental and physical benefits but no High

Let us first look at what cannabidiol is at all. This plant cannabinoid (phytocannabinoid) occurs in the fiber hemp in different amounts, but also in marijuana cultivations and has, contrary to some allegations of older literature, no great psychoactive properties as was frequently written – at most, and depending on the susceptibility of the patient easily sedative, Soothing. The author of this text knows from his own experience that pure CBD neither makes a great fatigue, nor exerts a soothing effect. It is also not associated with the intoxicating effect.

On the contrary, cannabidiol is an inhibitor of the psychoactive effects of THC. In his book “The Treatment with Cannabis and THC, the physician and cannabis expert Dr. Franjo Grotenhermen explains in short and easily understandable words, what cannabidiol, CBD, is: “The second most important cannabinoid group is the cannabidiol group.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is mainly found in fiber mesh and some hash varieties. In contrast to the THC, it does not cause any psychological effects, and it even counteracts the mental effect of the THC in sufficiently high doses. However, it can enhance the pain-relieving properties of the THC. Cannabidiol also has a soothing effect and it also used as anti-inflammatory, anti-epileptic, anxiety-relieving, antipsychotic and lowering of the eye pressure purpose.
